Incident Narrative

An employee in the molding department was attempting to remove material that clogged the auger of an injection molding machine. His hand got caught in the auger, which was not shut down at the time of the incident. He sustained left-hand and wrist lacerations, as well as torn tendons, requiring hospitalization and surgery.
