Incident Narrative

An employee was on a lower level roof (unknown height) and was climbing an attached ladder fixed to the building to go to the upper roof. He was almost to the top of the ladder when he missed a step and fell approximately 15' to 18' onto the lower flat roof. He landed on his feet first, then buttocks, and finally his side and was unable to get up. He was hospitalized and required surgery for a broken right femur.
