Incident Narrative
An employee was helping a customer unload scrap metal at the scrap metal facility in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, when the employee's finger got caught between the tailgate. The employee sustained a left middle finger amputation just below the nail; there was no nerve damage, and the fingertip could not be reattached. The employee was wearing gloves at the time.
