An employee was working at Extruder #2 (piece of equipment used to melt plastic). As equipment was started up, a piece of equipment blew off the machine and hit the employee in the leg. The leg was severely gashed. EMS was called and the employee was transported to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
