WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Wet Seal Inc., of Foothill Ranch, Calif. is voluntarily recalling 5,500 “Zutopia" Girl's loungewear outfits. The loungewear failed to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear posing a risk of serious burn injuries to children. The standard requires sleepwear, including loungewear, to be flame resistant and if the garment ignites, the flame must self-extinguish.Name of product: “Zutopia” Girl's loungewear (15 different styles)Units: 5,500Distributor/Retailer: The Wet Seal Inc., of Foothill Ranch, Calif.Hazard: The loungewear failed to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear posing a risk of serious burn injuries to children.
