Description

The recall involves Full Moon Lanterns sold by Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. The lanterns were sold in the following three different Halloween themes: Bat (Model # XPM 012A), Flying Witch (Model # XPM 012B), and Jack O-Lantern (Model # XPM 012C).

Hazard

The lantern can overheat and melt or ignite, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

Incidents / Injuries

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. has received 11 consumer complaints including reports of overheating, melting and fire. No injuries have been reported.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using the recalled lamps immediately. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. is directly contacting all affected consumers to arrange for a full refund.

About 1,700 sets (2 lanterns per set)

Sold At

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. sold the recalled Full Moon Lanterns through its on-line and print catalog, "Martha Stewart: The Catalog for Living," from September 1, 2004 through October 31, 2004 at $19 for a set of two lanterns.
