WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Yamaha Electronics Corporation, of Buena Park, Calif. are voluntarily recalling about 4,300 Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speakers. On some speakers, the mounting clamps can break causing the speaker to fall. Falling speakers could possibly hit consumers.Name of Product: Yamaha In-Ceiling and In-Wall SpeakersUnits: About 4,300 unitsDistributor: Yamaha Electronics Corporation, of Buena Park, Calif.Hazard: On some speakers, the mounting clamps can break causing the speaker to fall. Falling speakers could possibly hit consumers.Incidents/Injuries: Yamaha has received 14 reports of falling speakers. No injuries have been reported.Description: The recalled models are the In-Ceiling Speaker, NS-IW360C, which is round; and the In-Wall Speaker, NS-IW660, which is rectangular. Both models have a white rim and grill, and black interior. Each individual speaker has its own unique serial number. The model and serial numbers appear both on the box and on the speakers.
