21 Pro USA Children's Pullovers and Hoodies

Description

This recall involves children's hooded pullover and zip hooded sweatshirts in sizes S-XL. They were sold in black, navy blue and heather gray. Brand name "21 Pro USA" Sportswear and RN#92952 are printed on a label sewn into the neck of the sweatshirts.

Hazard

The children's sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children. In February 1996, CPSC issued guidelines (which were incorporated into an industry voluntary standard in 1997) to help prevent children from strangling or getting entangled on the neck and waist drawstrings in upper garments, such as jackets or sweatshirts.

Incidents / Injuries

None reported.

Remedy

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard or return the garments to the place of purchase or to New Mode Sportswear for a full refund.

Various T-shirt outlets and swap meets on the West Coast from January 2006 through July 2006 for about $6.
