Description

The company has received four reports of incidents, including a fire that caused $475,000 in damage to a home.

Hazard

The air mover/blower's internal electrical capacitor can fail and overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Incidents / Injuries

Servpro has received four reports of overheating incidents with the recalled air movers/blowers. Three of the incidents resulted in property damage, including a fire at a home in San Diego, Calif. that caused $475,000 in damage.

Remedy

Users should immediately stop using the recalled air movers/blowers and contact Servpro for a free repair kit to be installed by users. Servpro is directly contacting franchises that purchased the air movers.

Servpro's independently-owned franchises nationwide from April 2004 through August 2010 for between $200 and $230.
