Description
An electrical component in 42-inch and 48-inch models refrigerator freezers made between can overheat.
Hazard
Electrical connectors in the refrigerator freezer wiring harness can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents / Injuries
Viking has received 27 reports of electrical shorts and four fires. No injuries have been reported.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately turn off and unplug the recalled refrigerator freezers and contact Viking to schedule a free, in-home repair.

Appliance and specialty stores nationwide from November 2012 through May 2013 for between $5,400 and $6,400.
