Description
The metal rod connecting the guard rail to the bed can break in use.
Hazard
The metal rod connecting the guard rail to the bed frame can break in use, posing a laceration hazard.
Incidents / Injuries
IKEA has received one additional report from the UK of a metal rod on a SNIGLAR bed breaking. A child received a small scratch to the arm from the broken metal rod.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled KRITTER and SNIGLAR junior beds and contact IKEA to receive a free repair kit.
Units Affected
About 3,500 (22,000 units were previously recalled for repair in August 2013)
Sold At
IKEA stores nationwide and online at www.ikea-usa.com from July 2005 through May 2013 for between $60 and $90.
