I have a 2024 Ram Promaster Travato/Winnebago Class B 4 mo. ago I noticed the sliding door window on the right side of the vehicle fell on me as I was walking by the Van. I taped it on with tape and drove to Meyers Syracuse, NY location 730 Interstate Island. May 17th 2024 315-413-0401. They supposedly fixed it. Today I noticed I couldn't close that same window and there was a big gap under the window that's supposed to fit in the intended groove. I am so afraid if that window fell of while driving it could cause serious injury possible death. Thank goodness I check the windows

I'm a member of the a Winnebago Travato owners group that's identified a significant safety concern that the manufacturer is choosing to ignore. On Winnebago Travato "KL" models, (A class B RV with a lithium battery pack instead of a generator), the manufacturer has chosen to run a 58v 140A (8000 kw operating load) wire from an alternator attached to the engine, to the lithium battery pack in the rear with the wire routed through the front passenger side wheel well. When the vehicle is turning to the left or right, this wire routing inside of the wheel well comes within 1/2" of contacting the tire tread on an unloaded vehicle parked level. In motion, with more forces involved, this wire is able to make contact with the tire. Many members of the owners group have reported significant rubbing of the tires on this wire. Installation of tire chains would cause certain contact and road debris or tire delamination (another issue with this vehicle) can cause damage to this wire leading to a vehicle fire. In fact, there are suspected stories of vehicle fires after blow outs on the Travato KL, however we are unable to verify their integrity. In any case, running a high power cable unprotected inside a wheel well is a dangerous life safety issue and needs to be remedied. I've attached a picture of the wire location on my Travato for your reference.
