THIS IS A 1995 OLDSMOBILE AURORA. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 70K MILES, HAS BEEN GARAGED AND HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS. AFTER DRIVING IN WINTER STORMS THE CAR WAS ALWAYS WASHED UNDER THE CHASSIS IN THE CAR WASH TO REMOVE SALT. ON 10/5/2006, AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF THE GARAGE, THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT TOTALLY SOFT AND THE CAR STOPPED WITH DIFFICULTY AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES MANY TIMES, ETC. OUR GARAGE HAS A HIGH SLOPE INTO THE STREET. I PULLED THE CAR SLOWLY BACK INTO THE GARAGE AND OBSERVED BRAKE FLUID ON MY DRIVEWAY. I RAISED THE CAR ON JACKS AND I INSPECTED THE UNDERBODY. THE BRAKE FLUID LINES GOING TOWARDS THE BACK WHEELS ARE HEAVILY CORRODED AND A SPOT WAS LEAKING HEAVILY. I WAS DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 50-55 AND THE TRANSMISSION JUST WENT INTO 2ND GEAR SO I HAD TO DRIVE 20 MILES AT ABOUT 35 MPH. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND SO THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. AT THIS POINT IN TIME I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO FIX IT EXCEPT TO HAVE THE CODES READ BY A GM DEALER AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG. CENTER CUP HOLDERS ARE TO SHALLOW, WHEN I AM DRINKING A HOT DRINK, THE CONTENTS OF THE DRINK ARE SPILLED ON TO ME WHEN THE CONTAINER FALLS OUT OF THE HOLDER. THE RESULT IS DRIVER/PASSENGER GETTING BURNED BY HOT COFFEE. NO MATTER THE SIZE OF THE CONTAINER, THE HOLDER IS TO SHALLOW. UNCAPPED CONTAINERS CAN NOT BE USED IN THE CENTER CUP HOLDER WITHOUT FALLING OUT ON TURNS OR CURVES. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY ONTO A TOW TRUCK THE SUPPORT ASSEMBLY STEERING COLUMN JACKET BROKE. WHEN THIS OCCURRED STEERING WHEEL BECAME LOOSE AND FLOPPED AROUND LIKE A BROKEN ARM. THE CAUSE OF THE COLUMN BREAKING HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. *AK
RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE FOR 95 AURORA AFTER REPAIRS FOR ODOR OF GAS CAME INTO CAR. GAS HAD CAME FROM BRAKE LINE ON THE MOTOR CAUSED MORE PROBLEM. *BF RECALL# 04V110000. *SC
MECHANIC WOULD NOT ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO BE MOVED WHEN TAKEN IN FOR REPAIRS DUE TO A GAS LEAK ON A HOT ENGINE. *PH THE CONSUMER READ AN ARTICLE WHICH INDICATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLES FUEL LINE.
DEFECTIVE FUEL RAIL WHICH CAUSED VEHICLE TO LEAK FUEL. REPLACED FUEL RAIL AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. *BF CONSUMER OWNS A 1995 AND 1997 OLDSMOBILE AURORA. THE 1997 AURORA WAS RECALL AND REPAIRED UNDER RECALL 04V110000. ON JULY 7, 2004 THE CONSUMER SMELLED GAS INSIDE THE 1995 AURORA AND HAD IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. THERE HE LEARNED HIS 1995 AURORA HAD EXPERIENCED THE EXACT DEFECT AS STATED IN THE RECALL FOR THE 1997 AURORA ( FUEL RAIL LEAKING GASOLINE). THE CONSUMER SUBMITTED A CLAIM FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER REIMBURSED THE CONSUMER FOR THE FUEL RAIL BUT NOT FOR THE REGULATOR WHICH THE DEALER ALSO REPLACED. *NM

GEAR POSITION INDICATOR DOESN'T LOCK IN GEAR. THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH OF THE INDICATOR AND IT MOVES FROM THE CURRENT GEAR INTO PARK. *AK
WHEN THE ACTUATOR MELTED CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE FUEL TANK DOOR. DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE CAR HAS A FUEL LEAKING IN THE RETURN LINE FUEL SYSTEM. I TOWED THE CAR TO ARMEN CADILLAC-OLDSMOBILE INC. FOR THE RECALL AND THEY SAID THAT MY CAR NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL! AND I BELIEVED WHAT THEY TOLD ME AND I ACCEPT TO PAY THE REPAIR FROM MY POCKET, AND I GOT THE RECALL LETTER BEFORE I PICK UP THE CAR AND I SHOWED THEM THE CAR BUT THE EMPLOYEE TOLD IT'S TOO LATE AND I HAVE TO PAY IT AND I DID. AND I FILL OUT FORM FOR THE OLDSMOBILE ASKED THEM FOR THE REFUND BUT WITH NO RESPONSE FROM THEM !!!*JB
NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN 04V110000: FUEL RAIL TUBING; THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THIS COMPLAINT THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. CURRENTLY, THE VEHICLE HAS A TENDENCY TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. ONCE THIS OCCURS THE BRAKES AND STEERING ARE AFFECTED, LOSING POWER. THIS CONSTANTLY PUTS THE OCCUPANTS IN JEOPARDY. *AK
