Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Gladiator and 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may experience an internal short circuit and fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Controls and Displays."
Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel cluster, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed between October 3, 2024, and January 23, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 30B.

A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. While I was driving the vehicle, the instrument cluster screen went completely blank and it won’t display any information like the speed, gas or anything about the vehicle information. Went completely blank while driving the vehicle, which could’ve caused an accident.
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Failure. The central Instrument cluster display went blank without warning unable to see fuel gauge, Temps and other gauges and warning lights are normally illuminated while the vehicle is in operation.

Jeep will not include my vehicle in the Instrument cluster failure because they predetermined which vin numbers were affected and did not include my 2020 Jeep Gladiator on the list. But my vehicle clearly has the electrical problem causing the center instrument cluster to not work and be blank. I cannot see how many miles I drove or how much gas is in the tank and cannot see anything outside of MPH and RPM.

Engine failure due to coolant leak: in December, 2025, vehicle was towed to dealership due to overheating engine. While driving home from work, Vehicle was exhibiting engine overheating including temperature warning lights, temperature gauge fluctuating from normal to extremely high, a strange sound coming from the front of the vehicle (almost like a fan was not working) and running rough, like a diesel idle. I immediately pulled the vehicle off to the side of the road & shut it off. (Fortunately engine didn’t seize or exhibit these symptoms while I was on the highway just minutes before) I called dealership & they said it needed to be towed in. After having my vehicle for 10 days, Dealership stated thermostat needed to be replaced. Vehicle then exhibited same symptoms a few weeks later along with a check engine light, vehicle is returned to dealership. Dealership NOW tells me they’ve “seen enough of these to know that it’s most likely going to need a left side cylinder head” due to coolant leak into the engine. I am now aware there have been multiple reports to NHTSA for similar issues and that a service bulletin has been issued to the dealerships for this very reason: its a KNOWN issue with no recall in sight. Jeep at this juncture, acknowledging it’s a problem, REFUSES to assist with very costly repair, instead suggesting I should report to NHTSA.

Center lost all lighting, cannot see gas gauge, oil pressure, engine heat gauge and odometer reading. This is my 3rd complaint. Is there anything going on with this problem.

The digital gauge cluster went blank and does not display any important information. 32k vehicles have been issued a recall but my VIN was not included. I also heard that 90k+ other vehicles had the same problem but new recall was not issued.
I reported over a year ago that my center display went blank and is still blank. When I first reported the problem the first recalls came out on other gladiators but mine wasn't included in that recall. And still today every gladiator has been recalled except mine. I dont understand how older models and some 2020 and even new models have been recalled but mine still hasn't been. So here I am going on 2 years plus and nothing. Guessing how much gas is in my jeep is getting old especially since I paid so much for this vehicle. Its dangerous to drive since all your warnings and fuel is all on that display.

The manufacturer was informed of the failure and provided a complaint number. The instrument dash cluster stopped working December 13, 2025. I notified the dealership immediately a thy scheduled for us to bring it in December 16, 2025. This is a safety concern because no warning would be visible, no gas gauge visible, no odometer availability either. I took it to the Jeep dealership we bought it from and they confirmed the faulty instrument dash cluster. Currently our Jeep Gladiator has been marked out of service since December 16, 2025. Files a Jeep claim and was assigned a Case Manager. Original quote for the part to become available was 45 days from December 17, 2025. Then supplier canceled the part order so the dealership’s parts department placed another order with an ETA of March 3, 2026. Supplier canceled the order again and now there’s no ETA but the part has been ordered. This is the 2nd major issue we’ve had. June 28, 2024 the transmission went in this Jeep with less than 35000 miles on it.

One morning the instrumental cluster display would not display mileage, fuel capacity, temperature, or any notifications. The dealership inspected it for a blow fuse and a computer reset and determined the display shorted and would need to be replaced. I called FCA regarding a recall for this exact problem on 2020 Jeep gladiators and that this was a known safety issue released by nhtsa. I was told by FCA that this trim level was not included in this recall. My jeep Overlook was overlooked. Trim level deals with extras like heated seats not foundation electrical installation. My jeep has 140,000 mile engine oil has been changed on time every time. And the engine has cylinders that are missing and it's using antifreeze and riddles like a diesel from time to time. I looked it up and it seems to be a common problem with these engine and there has not been a recall for this. But funny thing is they make a repair kit for this issue. Why has this not been recalled yet it's on all the jeep forms. Even wright ups of fires after a while of driving in this condition.
Our dash board has gone black and we can not see how fast we are going how much fuel we have or the milage or anything else on the dash. The radio still works but nothing else on the dash is working. there are 32,000 other vehicles with recalls on this same issue our truck does not fall under the recall batch but obviously should. this is a major safety issue

I am submitting a complaint regarding my 2020 Jeep Gladiator, which has exhibited persistent and dangerous steering issues since shortly after I purchased it. The issue is commonly referred to as the "death wobble." Despite 5 separate repair attempts performed by an authorized Jeep/Stellantis dealership, the safety defect continues to occur. This issue is very commonly know to Jeep. I have even been told my the Service Agent I worked with at the dealership that the steering damper is known to be inadequate, but still continually put on the Jeep. The issue started at approximately 25,000 miles, and upon the 5th time bringing it in for the same safety defect, the car is at 92,000 miles. At highway speeds, if the vehicle hits any uneven pavement, the car will begin to shack violently and the vehicle becomes difficult to control. On multiple occasions, the vehicle felt uncontrollable. This creates an extremely unsafe driving condition for me, my family, and other drivers on the road. I have to be hyper focused to avoid any pothole or other change in pavement in order to try and prevent the steering defect to happen. Even when the steering damper has been replaced, the new one can break at any point again, creating a danger every time this vehicle is driven on the highway. I have opened a formal complaint with Jeep as I can no longer use the vehicle in good conscious with my 4-month old daughter. The defect-steering damper breaking can happen anytime, as the exact same part is replaced each time with no successful remedy. I am asking the NHTSA to investigate the steering defect, determine whether a broader safety recall is necessary, assist in compelling Stellantis to provide an appropriate remedy for a vehicle that has undergone multiple unsuccessful repair attempts for a safety-critical defect. I have included all service documents and my communication with Jeep/Stellantis.
The digital instrument cluster in my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has failed. The center display (LCD) went completely black, even though the backlight still glows faintly. This screen typically displays critical information such as vehicle speed, warnings, messages, and alerts. Without this display, I cannot monitor key safety information while driving. The analog gauges still function, but the central digital panel remains blank regardless of ignition mode (RUN or ON). After diagnosing the issue myself, I confirmed power was present at the fuse terminals. I inspected and replaced fuse F36, which was damaged and likely contributed to the display losing power or shorting. I also inspected related fuses F43 and F57 (BCM and IOD power supply), which were intact. This is not an isolated problem. Research shows that other Jeep Gladiator owners (especially 2020 models) are experiencing identical symptoms — black instrument displays, “Push Brake to Start” messages that stay on after shutdown, and modules not entering proper sleep mode. These issues align with the symptoms listed in TSB 08-002-21A, which relates to software and communication faults between the BCM and IPC. Jeep dealership confirmed the failure and quoted $700–$1,000 for full cluster replacement, stating there are no DTC codes and no reflash updates available, and that the cluster must be replaced outright. Jeep has not issued a recall, yet this is clearly a widespread failure affecting visibility and safety of vehicle operation. The problem poses a safety risk to myself and others. I cannot see alerts or diagnostic messages while driving. If this happened at night or during highway travel, it could increase accident risk. Jeep should issue a recall or warranty coverage extension for the instrument cluster failure in affected 2020 Gladiators.

My vehicle has a 3.6 pentastar engine. Around 75,000 miles the check engine light came on. I took it to the dealership to run diagnostics and find the problem. After completing the diagnostics the service tech informed me that is was an issue related to a TSB 09-011-25. This is a major manufacturing issue that causes engine failure. My engine needs to be replaced. This issue affects many vehicles in the Stellantis lineup and should be a recall. They have not made any effort to inform customers of this issue to have it inspected

The vehicle will run and drive, however I won't know how much gas I have, I don't know if the vehicle is overheating, and I don't know how many miles I have traveled without trying to track it. If I want the new part to have an accurate odometer I have to leave it with the dealer for an unknown period of time. This seems potentially unsafe and likely to impact many vehicles given that the part is remanufactured and back ordered. A systemic flaw of this nature seems like something which could warrant a safety recall.
The instrument panel on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has gone blank. No water temp, no oil pressure, no odometer, no gas gauge (VIN [XXX] ). This is 2nd complaint form. I realize gov shutdown has effected the process but 2 days after report 1st I saw an article that said NHSTA had opened investigation on this problem. My 2020 Jeep Gladiator has a defective instrument panel screen. This appears identical to the current documented model recall yet Jeep does not include my VIN on the list of recalled vehicles. The current recall number is: NHTSA 24V-652. This presents a serious safety issue and I hope that someone from NHTSA is looking into this.
