Dashboard deteriorating and appears "melting" when in hot environment. Have read of dangerous chemicals being produced when hot in a CAS Letter to NHTSA Regarding Nissan “Melting” Dashboards – October 6, 2021 (attached) as well as being a safety hazard from the film produced causing windshield glare and/or film restricting vision. Condition has existed since purchase (date below) and progressively getting worse. Only now found information about the cause but no remedy available outside of a new dash?

And if for some reason I even let my gas get low enough to have the low fuel lamp come on, it's almost too late and I barely make it to a gas station. THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED MORE THAN ONCE ALREADY AND BASED ON MY RESEARCH I'VE COME TO BELIEVE THAT IT IS DUE TO THE COOLANT MIXING WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE RADIATOR.

FUEL GAUGE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. RECENTLY RAN OUT OF GAS WHILE GAIGE SHOWED 3/4 FULL
MY AIRBAG TROUBLE LIGHT APPEARS ON MY DISPLAY AND I AM CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY AS A RESUKT OF FAULTY AIRBAGS AND/OR CONNECTORS. ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO, THE SAME AIRBAG TROUBLE LIGHT WAS ILLUNINATED AND THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS AIRBAG CONNECTORS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THIS RELATED TO SIDE AIRBAGS. THE REPAIR XOST MORE THAN $700. I ASKED IF THERE WERE RELATED RECALLS AND WAS TOLD NO BY THE DEALER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 INFINITI G35. WHILE BEING DRIVEN, THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE DASHBOARD. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING OR AN IMPACT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE CAR SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND A COMBINATION OF LIGHT SUCH AS SLIP AND VDC APPEAR. THIS HAS OCCURRED 4 TIMES IN LESS THAN THREE YEARS COSTING ME 2500 IN REPAIRS. EACH TIME THE PROBLEM IS DIAGNOSED WITH A CAMSHAFT SENSOR ISSUE. I RESEARCHED ONLINE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS LISTED FROM OTHER INFINITI AND NISSAN OWNERS. THERE CERTAINLY SEEMS TO BE A PATTERN AND THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS THE CAR SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY WITH TRAFFIC GOING 60 MILES PER HOUR AND FASTER BEHIND ME. SINCE I AM NOT BREAKING, THE DRIVER BEHIND DOES NOT SEE A BREAK LIGHT AND COULD PLOW INTO ME. I CALLED INFINITI AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NO RECALL. *JS
DESPITE BEING GARAGED SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED 13 YEARS AGO, BEING WELL CARED FOR (SINGLE OWNER), AND LOW MILEAGE (JUST TURNED OVER 92K), THE DASH HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS EXTENDING THE ENTIRE WIDTH OF THE VEHICLE. THESE STARTED TO APPEAR ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO AND HAVE CONTINUED TO EXTEND AND WORSEN.
WHEN I START MY VEHICLE IT SOUNDS AS IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF BLOCKAGE. INSTEAD OF A CLEAR SOUND IT'S AS IF THERE IS A COVER OVER IT. I START TO NOTICE A SLIGHT SMELL OF GAS. AS I CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE SMELL GETS WORSE AND WORSE. SO BAD THAT HAVING ALL THE WINDOWS DOWN WON'T RID THE SMELL. I HAVE HAD EVERYTHING FIXED ON THIS VEHICLE. I'VE HAD THE BEST MECHANICS LOOK AT IT. I'VE EVEN HAD INFINITY LOOK AT IT. THEY STATED IT WAS THE FUEL CAMDNER. IT WASN'T. I HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. THE O2 SENSOR AND TUBE. A FEW OTHER THINGS AS WELL. BUT NOTHING WILL FIX IT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. I GET SO LIGHT HEADED IF I DRIVE NOT TO MENTION I CAN'T BREATHE. I DON'T DRIVE THE CAR UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. IT SCARES ME TO DRIVE THE CAR. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS.
I HAVE 118K MILES ON MY VEHICLE. I RECENTLY HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES WITH MY FUEL GAUGE. I'VE READ HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND FUEL GAUGE ISSUES. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THE OTHER DAY I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE I THINK BECAUSE IT WAS ALMOST OUT OF FUEL. THE GAS GAUGE READ OVER 1/2 TANK. I CALLED THE LOCAL INFINITILUPIENT AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THERE SHOULD BE. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE SAID THAT THIS HAPPENS AROUND 120,000. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.

I'VE READ AND SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING MY MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR BUT NISSAN IS REFUSING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THESE COMPLAINTS AND ISSUE A RECALL. THERE APPEARS TO BE ISSUED RECALLS FOR CERTAIN MODELS SUCH FX35, M35 AND SOME ALTIMAS BUT THE ISSUE APPEARS TO BE MUCH LARGER PROBLEM ACROSS THE BOARD. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE PEOPLE START TO LOSE THEIR LIVES OVER THIS EGREGIOUSNESS AND NEGLIGENCE AND THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS/SHOULD FORCE NISSAN TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE OF THIS.

I CHECKED THE ENGINE, ENGINE BAY AND ALSO UNDER THE CAR TO SEE IF THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK PRESENT BUT THERE WASN'T ANY. FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK . IT NEVER GOES BELOW 2/3 FULL AND COULD CAUSE THE CAR TO RUN OUT OF GAS. IF THIS HAPPENED WHEN ON THE FREEWAY IT COULD LEAD TO A DANGEROUS SITUATION AS STEERING AND BRAKES WOULD BE AFFECTED ALONG WITH AVOIDING OTHER VEHICLES IF CAR LOST POWER INTRAFFIC.
TAKATA RECALL MY 2005 INFINITI G35 WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL OF EVERY YEAR PRIOR AND AFTER. THE CAR WAS PROBABLY PUT TOGETHER IN 2005 AND SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BECAUSE THE ALERT IS NOW FLASHING. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS WITH MY OLDER INFINITI. THE ALERT WILL NOT TURN OFF. IT WENT OFF WHEN I DROVE BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP AFTER SPENDING OVER $2500 TO GET IT FIXED.
