International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB and 2025-2027 IC Bus EVSB school buses. The body panel joint may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicle fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair the interior vertical joint as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 26504. International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2027 IC Bus CESB school buses. While carrying the maximum number of occupants, the bus may exceed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) when the fuel tank and fluid reservoirs are full.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair suspension as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed by December 22, 2025. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available, anticipated late May 2026. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825.
