The forward-facing windshield lane assist monocular camera ceased working after only 44000 miles. This resulted in numerous hazard warning lights being activated in my dashboard. I went to the dealer where I bought the car, and they gave me an estimate for almost $2200.00. They are charging me $1649.00 for the part. I found the part (OEM) online for half that price. A search on the internet finds thousands of complaints about this part prematurely failing. I bought a new car for the safety features and now if I want to keep them I have to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a replacement part that Honda knows is bad. I feel I am being price gouged and that my safety as well as the safety of others on the road are being negatively impacted. NHTSA and Honda need to recall this part and replace it asap. thx

An electrical issue with the right-hand side gauge cluster. This contains the fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, temperature, & clock. Parts of the instrument cluster functions intermittently or shows scrambled, incorrect information. More recently it has turned completely off all together. This defect has created situations where I was unaware that the vehicle was about to run out of fuel. Also created situations where I couldn't track my mileage on long car trips to monitor my fuel.
I have gone in for service many times since this recall was released and have been told each time that they do not have the pats.
The fuel gauge, odometer, and trip meter portion of the instrument cluster functions only intermittently. In most instances, the display turns on but shows scrambled, incorrect, or misleading information. This defect has created multiple situations in which we were unaware that the vehicle was close to running out of fuel, placing us at risk of becoming stranded in remote areas of our state (New Mexico). Although the low-fuel warning light does illuminate, depending on our location, it may not provide sufficient warning to reach a gas station safely. This issue was confirmed by a local Honda dealer and has existed since approximately one year after the vehicle was purchased.
The contact owns a 2021 Honda HR-V. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V064000 (AIR BAGS). The vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair. Panel flickered on the side where it tells you your milage to empty and how much gas you have in the car yesterday. This morning it was completely blank on that side of panel. My mechanic sade that it was something electrical but not the fuses. And he doesn't have the equipment to tell if it's an software update issue or not.
Approximately three weeks ago my steering wheel started sticking when making turns. Normally it happens when I am traveling at least 30 mph/40 mph. It does not automatically return to the normal position. Sometimes I actually feel it lock and unlock while even driving straight.
The LCD display which indicates fuel levels and such is made by a bad connection and will short out in all Honda 2021 HRV models that experience cold weather. This was told to me by a mechanic at a Honda Dealership in Colorado Springs. This screen going out would cause you to not know where your gas levels sit causing issues and potential safety concerns.
In November 2024, I purchased a 2021 Honda HR-V with approximately 65,881 miles from Carvana, which conducted an inspection and found no issues. However, just four months later, while driving on the highway, my vehicle suddenly went into neutral, and all warning lights came on. It was a terrifying experience, as I narrowly avoided a collision with a semi-truck before the car shut off entirely. I was lucky to make it to the side of the road safely. Upon having the car towed to my mechanic, it was discovered that the transmission sensor contained metal shards, indicating an internal transmission failure likely due to a factory defect. This was further confirmed by an authorized Honda dealer, who found that the CVT belt had disintegrated and that this was unrelated to wear and tear. Given the fact that my vehicle was less than four years old with 74,165 miles on it, this is a clear indication of a serious factory defect. This is a video of someone else CVT transmission that failed: [XXX] FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
My digital cluster that displays how many miles my vehicle has, how many miles I have until I am out of gas and how much gas I have does not display correctly. From my own research this is due to the solder used during manufacturing being lead free. Because it is lead free it cracks in cold weather and causes a poor connection causing the display to be unreadable. I have read online and thousands of people are having the exact same issue. This is not a normal wear and tear issue and rather a manufacture defect that Honda is aware of.

I have had several issues happen where the battery will drain quickly if the doors are open for 40 minutes. One time recently happened last week when I was trying to take my wife to the hospital for a back pain issue. I tried to get her into the vehicle but the pain was too great so we called the paramedics to come and take her instead. Once they arrived and removed her from the vehicle, I went to start the vehicle and it wouldn't start. You could hear a repetitive fast clicking from the dash and a pulsing of the dash lights but no attempt of the engine to start.

My local dealership has not been able to fix my recall issue with the passenger seat weight sensor for the airbag and all they said for a remedy is have people sit in the back and to wait in the mail for when the part is in stock. I am a college stupid who has to travel 18hrs to get to college. how am I suppose to drive comfortably knowing the sensor may not work in the chance of an accident happening. It is sad that I am not able to fix this recall issue since it was made aware in early February.
Went to Honda dealer they didnt have the part for recall 24V-064 also called Honda directly adn they said only if the SRS light come in dashboard i can go and fix the recall otherwise i have to wait until parts become available to public. This means that Paragon Honda has the parts but is being selective. Honda doesn’t have an estimated time frame when issue will be fixed. I do not feel safe driving vehicle with open recalls and cant sell car as nobody wants with open recalls
Honda dealer refuses to fix Recall. Dealer at Arrowhead Honda at 8380 W Bell Rd, Peoria, AZ 85382. Service advisor Grant Foster informed me that because the vehicle has a Restored Salvage title (unrelated to mechanical and electrical components) they will not fix the recall.
Car's information gauge only displays at temperatures 70 degrees and above. The gauge (displayed on the right in the photo) contains, fuel level, odometer reading, warning icons. Car could run out of gas on highway with no warning. A Goggle search revealed many owners of different model years experiencing the same issue. Driver's side mirror melted. This is defective material. Honda is aware of this defect as per complaints, posts, blogs etc. Honda should disclosed this known defect to potential buyers prior to closing any sale, as it is a costly defect/hazard and requires abnormal parking criteria without guarantee of prevention. A reasonable person does not expect for exterior parts of their auto (an item meant for the outdoors) to melt in sunlight. A reasonable person does not expect to be restricted as to where to park a vehicle to avoid it melting. Had I been informed of the inferior quality of materials used in the manufacturing of this vehicle I would have purchased something else. This is outrageous and unacceptable. A auto is a huge investment.
Brakes are not keeping car stopped. Several times car has started moving slowly when stopped at traffic light or driving on freeway. Several times almost hit car in front of my car. I had to push harder on brakes. No warnings. It has to been inspected by anyone. This has happened since purchase of car in Jan. 2024.

Odometer section of dashboard failed to light up/turn on. Continued to happen after restarting the car. Eventually after running the car for ~20 minutes it started flashing and turned on. If this continues to occur or fails completely/indefinitely, there is a risk of stalling on the road or highway if unable to monitor the gas gauge.

My complaint is about the driver side airbag which you have the recall on. I went to the dealership and I call Honda and they cannot explain to me what’s wrong with the car? I asked him is the car able to drive and the dealership said no and Honda say yes, so what is the problem with the car? Nobody can explain it to me, I own the car is the car able to drive or not can somebody tell me what’s wrong with the car?
Multi-information display, including the fuel gauge, will malfunction (due to cold temps?) and produce a blank screen or else illegible text. Issue began a few months ago and will usually resolve in a minute or two, but has been getting progressively worse.
