How long do they have to complete repairs for this recall? This is an ongoing problem going back to Ford Escapes with the same problem going back to 2020. 6 years should be sufficient time for them to have come up for a solution for this recall.
Our 2024 Bronco Sport Outer Banks, 1.5 liter engine, purchased new from a Ford dealer 11/2024, serviced at the dealership and driven less than 14k miles, was destroyed by a spontaneous fire 3/22/2026. After driving 12 miles, we parked in a parking lot. Upon exiting the car we noticed a burning smell and saw small plumes of steam or smoke coming from under the car hood. Within a minute a red/orange disc of heated metal became visible on the hood surface as flames came from under the hood. Seven minutes later the fire department arrived extinguishing the fire. The car was destroyed. There were no warnings of any kind. The events suggest a cracked fuel injector. Even though 15 foot flames engulfed the car it was parked and unoccupied, there were no injuries. The results of the investigation have not been reported to us. CCTV footage was obtained from the police.

The battery has failed three times. Took it to a dealer in El Paso, Texas and they told us they put in a new battery which they lied. They did not. They charge the battery. Then we’ve took the car again to a dealer in San Antonio and they told us that there were some type of short in the battery, so they recharged the battery and fixed it, they lied again. Today the car will not start, the car is only a year and a half old and the dealer does not want to replace the battery, they want to recharge it again. This battery keeps leaving us stranded everywhere. It’s happening every two weeks.
I purchased my vehicle 6 months ago. I had no prior issues outside of a rough drive or a very slight burning smell from time to time. 12/2025 I found out through my auto insurance that my vehicle had a active safety recall (25S76) so I scheduled with my local Ford to get the temp software PCM update done until the remedy becomes available. Immediately after the software update I started getting a lot of system error codes; keys not detected, airbag fault, Tailgate open (when it wasnt), auto hold system fault, auto start/stop system fault, etc.. During this time I had issues with my break system "softening" like the breaks wanted to go out OR the break peddle locking up on me and being unable to move/drive. Delays in acceleration or spurts of acceleration which was uncommanded. This happened in active school zones making it even more unsafe and dangerous to drive. I took it back to my nearest dealership, and they could not replicate the issues but kept my case open and said to inform them if things changed. Things gradually got worse. I have video recording of my car accelerating without my foot on the peddle and my breaking peddle softening to the point of not working properly as well as hardening and locking up. I have photos of the errors when I was able to safely due so. I have full documentation that is not listed here (due to the amount of words allowed). I took my vehicle back and has been with Frontier Ford in Anacortes WA for 5 days. I have contacted Ford as well. I am unable to get a rental due to both Ford and the dealership both telling me to go to each other for help. I have no update as my vehicle is still in testing. They were able to replicate some of the issues but have no update outside of that. I have no way to work or take my children back and forth to their classes. My Ford dealership said this software has caused similar issues with other vehicles but my issue was a more severe case. I am unsure on how to move forward with this.

• What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection? The brake system on my 2024 Ford Bronco Sport failed to respond for approximately 2–3 seconds after I pressed the brake pedal. This occurred immediately after freeing my foot from underneath the gas pedal while cruise control was active. The vehicle is available for inspection. • How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle did not slow down when the brake pedal was fully pressed, causing me to enter an intersection while other vehicles were turning. I had to swerve to avoid a collision, but another vehicle entered my path and a crash occurred. The braking delay directly increased the risk of a serious accident. • Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center? UNKNOWN. I have not yet had a dealership or service center attempt to reproduce or diagnose the issue. • Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others? The accident was documented by police and insurance, but the mechanical issue itself has not yet been inspected for cause. • Were there any warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure? When did they appear? There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the brake failure. The brakes simply did not respond when pressed. • Description of the incident: While traveling northbound on Sterling Ave approaching Truman Rd, the light turned yellow. I attempted to brake, but my foot was caught under the accelerator due to cruise control being engaged. After freeing my foot, I pressed the brake firmly, but the brakes did not respond for approximately 2–3 seconds. I swerved left to avoid turning traffic and sounded my horn. Another vehicle continued its turn and my front passenger quarter panel struck its rear passenger quarter panel at about 15 mph. The brakes only began functioning after the vehicle jerked from evasive steering input.
Crash
The transmission failed to go in gear. The transmission was replaced and fixed by the dealership.
At least 6 times now my gas guage has plummeted from 60+ miles to 6 then 2 and none in less than a mile. Thus has left me standed after midnight on the side of the highway and other various places. I had to use the road side help ford offered. It happens often and doinng deliveries this is very scary for me. I never know how much gas i have. I feel like im constantly putting in gas. I looked up the symptoms and found on reddit quite a few people experience the same. This could be very dangerous to me and other drivers constantly getting stranded on side of road or in the middle of the road. This is a new car im Paying alot of money for. And should feel as safe as possible while driving

extreme loud vibrating noise coming from sunroof while driving at or above 35 mph. it may be bad design for rubber seal and body trim for the sunroof. for example: automatic car washing - hard rolling brushes hitting the top of the vehicle during the wash process, then there is the high pressure water rinsing from different directions, followed by a high wind vortex that causes every exterior surface extreme pressure and force. so, a few trips to the car wash, now causes your sunroof seal failure which may lead to a sunroof blow out while driving at 60mph on the high way... please ALERT ALL to this danger. sunroof seal failure. sunroof blowout. sunroof vibrating.

I don’t know the exact name of the system that failed but my Bronco would not accelerate after making complete stops. When I would press on the gas pedals to move from a stopped position the Bronco would move very very slowly which in turn almost caused me to have over 3 car accidents as when I would press the gas to move from a stopping position it would move forward very slowly no matter who much pressure I would put on the gas pedal which in turn the oncoming cars almost hit me. I took the Bronco to the dealership and they said they had to reprogram the acceleration but that it could take up to 500 miles for the issue to be corrected. I believe from my experience this is dangerous and not safe! And should be addressed. This incident has happened several times not one.
poor engine performance, including rough idling, misfires, engine stalls, sometimes difficult to start or no-start situation.
I reached out to ford due to my 2024 bronco sport overheating and running hot. During the time of that complaint I was advised that my bronco currently has a recall that the fuel tank needs to be replaced but it is currently being deemed as non safety and will only be addressed if the vehicle is in for service. I was also advised that due to this recall it is currently a part of fords customer satisfaction program. Anything fuel related should be deemed as a safety recall considering fuel is a flammable chemical. I have requested a buy back as I no longer feel safe operating the vehicle or comfortable transporting my daughter in the vehicle as it aligns too closely with the known fuel safety recall currently present on some 2021-2024 bronco sports.

Recall 25V467 can result in vehicle fire and manufacturer does not have a remedy. This is a lease and I would like to return the vehicle back because it is a safety hazard.

I have contacted ford directly and they still have not gotten a remedy for the unrepaired recall. My spouse and I went on a road trip that was 20 hour trip in total. They told us to keep driving it until it catches on fire because they did not have a remedy for it yet. We had just taken it in for an oil change and had them look the vehicle over due to the rpms keep jumping up even when going at low speed. The vehicle keeps loosing power and shakes when at idle or even when it starts up. We told ford about the smell of fuel or something when we walk by the hood of the vehicle and they said there was nothing wrong with it and that they didnt notice or smell anything when they did the oil change. When we talked to ford about our concern with the vehicle and that were were afraid to drive it especially since we have a baby and that we were told to continue driving it until it catches fire. We have a 9 month old who is in the vehicle daily due to having to go daycare. i am afraid for him being in the vehicle and it catching on fire or anything and not having enough time to get him out of the vehicle. Something needs to be done pronto or a law suit will be brought up

When coming from a stop at a traffic light vehicle losses power for approximately 15-20 seconds. This puts the driver of the vehicle, passengers, and other vehicle drivers operating on the roadway in danger of a major collision, possible bodily harm or even death. We have twice taken the vehicle to our dealership, where we purchased the vehicle; in order to fix the recall and we have had no success in gaining a remedy for the issues. The vehicle was seen twice by the Chandler, Arizona Earnheart Ford service department. There were no warning signs before the incident and they started appearing soon after the purchase of the vehicle. We have notice that the hotter it is outside the more frequent the loss of power occurs.

I have cut my arm two times on the door lock while exiting the vehicle. The door lock sticks out and the point is very sharp. I have blood thinner issues and it could cause severe problems. It occurs when the door cannot be opened all the way and you turn to exit. This needs to be rounded off and the flashing from casting the part needs to be sanded off
