Rats are attracted to the soy based wire coating. They ate every coating off every wire in the entire car, which cost a fortune to fix! I want a new car without that wire coating. I shouldn't be responsible for this mess! It's a known problem. My car is spotless! No food or drinks allowed. The guy who fixed it said he had never seen anything like it, and was shocked at the damage because at first glance my car looked brand new. He also stated most of the damage probably happened when it sat in a field waiting on the computer chip before I purchased it. Either way its absolutely ridiculous to take such good care of a car and have THIS going on!

I started a Turo business and because of the recall on the Ford 2022 bronco sport I haven’t been able to rent my car out for the last eight months. Turo will not allow you to rent a car that has a recall this recall has been going on for eight months and there is no fix in the near future and it may be until the middle of July until we’ll hear anything else about a remedy to fix this issue with the recall not being ready for another 3 to 4 months this is gonna put me one year of not being able to make any income off of that car and Forde says there is nothing they can do about it. They will not issue a rental car or a car to use in the meantime until this issue is fixed so I have done nothing wrong and as the customer, I am the one that has to lose a years worth of income because of something that Forde can’t fix in a timely manner.

Fuel system 1. I don't know what failed because the dealership didn't do anything to repair it. It is available for inspection upon request 2. Intensely strong fuel odor at the front of the car, inside and out. Strong exhaust odor at the back of the car. It is not safe to operate a car if it smells like fuel. 3. Dealership had it for 3 weeks and said there is nothing wrong. Now they are ignoring me. I am taking it to an independent mechanic. 4. Ford said they inspected it but they didn;t because there's all kinds of issues with this car. 5. No warnings. Suspension 1. It literally howls when braking in reverse. Spring popping sound when turning corners. 2. When fuel odor or suspension is an issue, it is always a safety issue. 3. Dealership said it is normal. It is not. 4. See above. 5. No warnings Body 1. From fender flare was packed full of rocks and debris. The dealership said they won't do anything despite the little box with their check mark next to "trim". Worst dealership ever. 2. If rocks can get packed in there they can also come out, in any direction and any speed.

February 26, 2026, Concern: Ford Recall 25S76 / NHTSA 25V467 – No remedy available. My vehicle previously had an earlier Ford recall for fuel leakage and fire risk. The dealer installed a drain tube as an interim fix about 18 months ago. Ford has now issued a new recall 25S76 / NHTSA Recall 25V467 August 2025 for a similar hazard involving cracked fuel injectors that can cause fuel to accumulate on the engine. Ford states that parts are not available and has provided no timeline for a permanent repair. Because this is the second fire risk recall for a related issue and the prior fix did not resolve the underlying problem, I am concerned that the manufacturer has not provided a timely or effective remedy. I am requesting that NHTSA review this delay and include my case in its monitoring of this recall.

This appears to be an issue with BRONCOS, but my vin# is not included. Hoping other people report this claim so this issue can get resolved. I hope no one else experiences this safety concern.

A manufacturer recall was issued for a defect involving the fuel system (fuel injectors), but no remedy or repair timeline has been provided. Due to the safety risk (potential fuel leakage and/or fire), I cannot reasonably use the vehicle without concern for liability if harm were to occur. Additionally, the recall must be marked as resolved in the NHTSA database before the vehicle can be returned to normal use, which is not possible without an available fix. The extended and indefinite repair timeline creates a significant burden, as the vehicle remains unusable with no clear resolution date. I have contacted both the dealer and the manufacturer, but no satisfactory resolution or timeline has been provided. No warning lights or prior symptoms were observed. The issue has not been independently reproduced, as it is a manufacturer-identified defect. The vehicle has not been repaired because no remedy is available. Overall, this represents a safety concern and loss of use, with no timeline provided for when the recall will be resolved.

On 12/22/2025, my fiancé and I purchased a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport from LaFontaine Ford in Lansing, MI. During the initial purchase, we were not aware of any recalls or vehicle defects with the Bronco Sport. Roughly one month later, the check engine light came on, and after a thorough vehicle inspection, we were notified that there was a recall on the vehicle in regards to bad fuel injector(s), and that we needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for a computer update. After dropping the vehicle off at the dealership, we were notified that the engine was blown due to a cylinder misfire as a result of a bad fuel injector. We were also advised that the dealership had already completed the computer update prior to our purchase and cleared out the codes (critical misfire). The negligence of the dealership put my fiancé in extreme danger with selling us a vehicle with a critical fault that could cause a vehicle fire! The problem still has not been remedied as Ford is asking up to pay $3,483.00 for a new engine with them covering $4,457.00. I believe all of this should be covered under the recall and/or powertrain warranty since this issue has been well documented with Ford Bronco's prior to us purchasing the vehicle.

The car sputters when fuel is added but will drive. Went to get it checked out. Ford said it was spark plugs and a canister purge valve stuck. Got it looked at for a second opinion and they said the plugs were fine and the note saying the canister purge valve was stuck, but the canister purge valve was operating fine. Second opinion said it was throwing a transmission fault code. Possibly solenoid somewhere or an issue with the PCM, TCM or BCM. Then the car started shifting really hard, getting stuck in gears and shutting off. I had to get it towed to my house. I’m thinking there’s a bad PCM, TCM or BCM in this model and it just hasn’t been mentioned yet. Historically, Ford says it’s the spark plugs often and other issues and take several times to fix the issue. Last time it has a shut off problem, they tried two different things before replacing a solenoid somewhere and it lasted for a while up until now. Seems like they can’t really determine what’s wrong with it even after paying for the professional diagnostic fee

AIR BAGS Jan 23, 2026
I was driving to work in my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport when traffic ahead of me stopped suddenly. I was able to come to a complete stop. The vehicle behind me did not see the stopped traffic until the last second and rear-ended my vehicle at an estimated speed of approximately 50 mph. The impact was severe enough that my vehicle was pushed forward into the car in front of me, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. Despite the severity of the impact, none of my airbags deployed. My vehicle sustained significant damage and was declared a total loss. I sustained serious injuries in this crash and continue to experience long-term, life-altering effects. Given the force of the collision and the extent of the damage, I am concerned about why the airbag system did not deploy and whether there may be a defect in the airbag or crash sensor system. I am submitting this complaint so the incident can be reviewed and investigated to determine whether this presents a broader safety issue.

I was driving the car and had been noticing an aroma, that I couldn't identify all morning. I happened to look over to the passenger side of the car and smoke was coming from the front of the seat. It was just about to catch fire. The seat heater was on and I turned it off. I poured water from a water bottle on the burned spot, that is about the size of your hand, and it sizzled until it cooled down. I contacted my dealer and sent them a photo. They had never heard of this occurring on any vehicle with heated seats ever happening before.

After adding coolant, the vehicle restarted but only drove a short distance before the coolant leaked out. The vehicle was driven to the residence, where a mobile mechanic inspected the vehicle and determined that it was not repairable and that the engine had cracked from overheating due to the loss of coolant. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

At a little over 75,000 miles, I had a warning light come on that basically said there was a problem shifting between 7th & 8th gear and it put my car into safe mode. After getting it to a dealership, I'm told it needs a new transmission and was quoted $10,000. That's incredible excessive for a 3 year old car and reading through many online forums, I'm not the only one this has happened to with this car.

STEERING:STEERING WHEEL /HANDLE BAR:HAND HEATER/COOLER Jan 5, 2026
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact turned on the heated steering wheel feature, and 30 seconds later, the steering wheel cover began to catch on fire with a blue flame; the contact discovered smoke coming from the steering wheel cover. The contact disengaged the heated steering wheel feature, where the flame self-extinguished. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact discontinued the usage of the heated steering wheel feature in order to avoid a large fire. A fire department report was not filed. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer; however, a dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure and informed that the vehicle caught on fire to resolve the failure with the vehicle's insurance. The vehicle was not repaired, but the contact was advised to buy a new steering wheel. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

The car's OBD (on board diagnostic) is not functional. This means that if a check engine light comes on it's impossible for the mechanic to know why. This means the car can never complete a state inspection and more seriously if there's an electrical problem, could result in a fire. I took the car to a Ford dealership and they verbally told me that lots of Ford cars are having this problem and that it is a manufacturing problem, not a specific problem only with my car. They want anywhere from $1600 - $4000 to repair/reprogram the OBD. They told me that they've done this "repair" for many customers and it's a manufacturing problem. In my opinion this should be a recall, not a repair customers have to pay for, most importantly because it could be dangerous bc mechanics can't access the car info if the check engine light comes on, and also the car can never be inspected which is not the fault of the car owner.

I am reporting a premature transmission failure on my 2022 Ford Bronco at approximately 85,000 miles. The vehicle required a full transmission replacement after experiencing internal transmission failure described by a Ford service manager as “something came apart inside the transmission.” The dealership quoted $13,000 for transmission replacement. Independent transmission specialists quoted approximately half that amount, indicating the dealership pricing is inflated. A major drivetrain failure at this mileage is abnormal and suggests a manufacturing defect. This issue renders the vehicle unsafe and unreliable and occurred far earlier than the expected life of a transmission. I am concerned this represents a systemic defect in Ford Bronco transmissions and request this complaint be documented and investigated.

Recurring Safety Defect: Powertrain Cooling System Failure causing Engine Overheating, Coolant Intrusion, and Loss of Motive Power. The vehicle has experienced three catastrophic cooling system failures within a 9-month period, posing a crash and fire risk. Incident 1 (February 2025): Water pump failure caused significant coolant loss. Diagnosed and repaired by authorized dealer under warranty. Incident 2 (June 2025): Vehicle leaked coolant and emitted visible smoke and burning odors from the exhaust. Dealer diagnosed internal turbocharger failure resulting in coolant intrusion into the engine and exhaust system. The catalytic converter was damaged by coolant burn-off and required replacement. This failure kept the vehicle out of service for 38 days. Incident 3 (November 2025): The vehicle engine overheated again while driving, triggering the "Fail-Safe" cooling mode. This resulted in a sudden reduction of motive power (limp mode), creating a collision hazard at highway speeds. The Check Engine light illuminated. Dealer diagnosis confirmed codes P1285 (Cylinder Head Overtemperature) and P05A1 (Active Grille Shutter failure). The manufacturer's dealer has confirmed the current failure but refuses to acknowledge it as part of the recurring powertrain thermal defect. The safety risk involves sudden deceleration in traffic due to overheating protection mode and potential fire risk from repeated coolant leaks onto hot engine components. The vehicle is currently at the dealer and available for inspection.
