Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Monster 797, Monster 1200, Supersport, 2016-2020 XDiavel, and 2018-2020 Monster 821 motorcycles. Air may permeate the rear brake system.
Remedy: Dealers will install new rear brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 28, 2021. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446.

Fuel system part number 69926431A error popped up during a motorcycle system scan at a recent service.
The contact owns a 2020 Ducati SuperSport Motorcycle. The contact stated that while operating the motorcycle, the rear wheel braking system malfunctioned and was inoperable causing the rider to fall over while attempting to stop. During the failure there was no injury sustained. The motorcycle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the rear brake line had melted, and the rear brake caliber had overheated. The brake lines, rear brake caliper and rear brake disc where replaced; however, approximately one year later the failure reoccurred. The motorcycle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that the rear brake caliper, rear brake disc, and rear brake lever needed to be replaced. The motorcycle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 629.
