THESE HEADLAMPS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THESE LAMPS DO NOT CONTAIN THE REQUIRED AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS.

The contact grabbed the steering wheel and held himself up and safely stopped the vehicle. The contact braced the seat upright and drove the vehicle to his residence. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact researched and referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 03V035000 (Seats) however, the VIN was not included. IGNITION SWITCH FAILURE. AFTER TURNING OFF CAR, SWITCH SLIPS INTO ACCESSORY POSITION AND DRAINS BATTERY. CAR DOES NOT START WHEN I RETURN TO THE CAR TO GO SOMEWHERE. I NEED TO PAY FOR A JUMP OR NEW BATTERY, OR TOW TO MY MECHANIC. THEN I HAVE TO KEEP REPLACING THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE ORIGINAL IGNITION SWITCH LASTED UNTIL 2011. THE AFTER MARKET IGNITION SWITCHES FAIL WITHIN ABOUT A YEAR. SOMETIMES WITHIN A FEW MONTHS. SINCE JAN. 2011, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH ON 1/10/11 COST $147.50, 2/16/2012, COST $220.39, ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY, COST $588.28 (MECHANIC THOUGHT IT COULDN'T BE THE SWITCH AGAIN), STARTER ASSEMBLY AGAIN 2/21/14, COST $384.23; RECOMMENDED I REPLACE THE RADIO SINCE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHORTED OUT 3/14/2014, COST $45:IGNITION SWITCH AGAIN ON 8/01/14, COST $110.56. ALSO THIS CAR KEEPS HAVING THE LEFT REAR TAILLIGHTS FAIL. THEY TELL ME THIS IS ALL PART OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHORT WHICH THEY GUESS IS CAUSING ALL OF THE ABOVE PROBLEMS. MY 2002 DODGE INTREPID HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS SINCE I BOUGHT IT ROUGHLY FOUR YEARS AGO. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT HAD A REBUILT ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. JUST RECENTLY IT HAS BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SHIFTING OUT OF KNOW WHERE. I WAS AT THE STOP LIGHT AND WHEN IT TURNED GREEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS AND IT DID NOT WANT TO GO. I LET UP THE GAS AND IT KICKED IN TO FIRST GEAR. WHEN I AM DRIVING AND GETTING UP TO ABOUT 30-35 MPH IT WOULD GO UP TO 3RPM AND NOT SHIFT. I DO REGULAR OIL CHANGES ON BOTH THE TRANSMISSION AND ENGINE. THIS PROBLEM CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE CAR IS JUST DOING WHATEVER IT WANTS TO. BOUGHT A DODGE INTREPID THE ENGINE HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IT'S AN 2.7 V.6 .... THE CAR STALLS , THE LIGHT FLICKERS ON AN OFF AS WELL AS MY RADIO!! MY SENSOR ARE FAULTY BECAUSE IT GIVE MY CAR FAULTY READING TO THE WRONG ERRS NOT ONLY, THAT I HAVE HAD BUILD UP IN BOTH ENGINES GRIME AND BROKEN DOWN PARTICLES! MY SPEED IS OFF SOMETIME MY CAR PICKS UP SPEED BY IT SELF OR IT DON'T GAIN SPEED AT ALL! THE CAR ALSO LOSES POWER FOR NO REASON AT ALL! DRAIN MY BATTERY FOUR TIMES! OVER HEAT WITHOUT WARNING! HAD MY THERMOSTAT REPLACE TWICE!!! TO MANY PROBLEM KEEP OCCURRING AND I CAN KEEP UP WITH ANY OF THIS!! TEXAS DMV TOLD ME ABOUT THIS SITE TOLD ME ABOUT THAT THESE CARS ARE NOT ANY GOOD!! I OWN A 2002 DODGE INTREPID IT HAS APPROX. 125,000 MILES ON IT JUST GOT OUT OF THE SHOP 300 FOR TRANSMISSION AND IT IS NOT FIXED IT STARTED TO RAIN REALLY HARD MID JUNE 10 SINCE THEN CAR GOES INTO WHAT I KNOW NOW AS LIMP MODE IT GOES INTO SECOND GEAR AND WONT COME OUT UNLESS YOU PULL OVER TURN OFF AND RESTART WAS FIXING TO CALL ACTUAL DODGE PLACE THEN READ ON THE INTERNET OF ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT ARE BEING HAD WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND ENGINES AS WELL. MY CAR HAS STARTED OVER HEATING. NO WARNING HAS FLUIDS. FOR 300 HAD EVERYTHING SERVICES WITH FLUIDS ETC AND AN ADDITIVE PUT IN AND TOLD DON'T KNOW HOW TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION THEN I READ PERSON AFTER PERSON SAYING THEY ARE REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND IT IS QUITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD OR CONTINUES TO DO WHAT MINE DOES. I AM AFRAID I AM GOING TO GET HIT I WAS ALMOST HIT ABOUT A WEEK AGO BY A DIESEL BECAUSE IT WENT TO ABOUT 43 THEN JERKED AND WENT INTO SECOND GEAR DIESEL RIGHT ON MY TAIL FURIOUS BECAUSE I HAD TO SLOW DOWN RPM WENT UP TO 4 AFRAID GOING TO BLOW THE MOTOR UP NO SHOULDER DUE TO CONSTRUCTION WAS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE HE SLAMMED INTO ME IT IS SCARY WHEN IT JERKS I AM AFRAID AT SOME POINT I WONT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OR I WILL BE IN A BAD AREA AND HAVE TO SHUT IT OFF AND IT WILL LOCK UP LIKE SO MANY OTHERS HAVE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 DODGE INTREPID. WHILE TRAVELING 30 MPH, VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER ACCELERATE. WITHIN SECONDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. THERE WAS ALSO COOLANT LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEAD GASKET AND WATER PUMP WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS OF THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 103,000. PER MECHANIC - TIMING CHAIN FAILURE AND OTHER ENGINE DAMAGE DUE TO POOR OIL FLOW/OVERHEATED OIL CAUSING SLUDGE AND SUBSEQUENTLY CLOGGED OIL PORTS AND EXCESSIVE DEGRADATION OF OIL. THIS HAPPENED EVEN THOUGH USED FULL SYNTHETIC FOR ENTIRE LIFE OF CAR AND CHANGED OIL REGULARLY (~ EVERY 5-8K MILES) OIL. *TR
