The contact owns a 2019 Can Am Ryker. The contact stated that while making sharp left turns at moderate speeds, the vehicle independently slow downed without warning. The contact stated that the handlebars and the rear tire would vibrate during the failure. Upon investigation, the contact linked the cause of the failure to a defective turn sensor. The contact had taken the vehicle to two dealers for inspection. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 2,200.
At approximately 5600 miles, my Can-Am Ryker went into limp mode during a ride, limiting my top speed to 50 mph on the highway. My Ryker has developed the Yaw SAS fault codes C006C & C0063C being excessive play in steering components. It is a very wide known problem causing the trike to go into limp mode with no consumer fix without a dealer getting involved. This comes down to a poor designed bushing on the SAS sensor that fails due to turning stress on it. I am aware of the TSB 137209 which is also on my list of repairs. I have about 5600 miles on it when the trike went into limp mode leaving me with a top speed of 50 mph on the highway. This forced me to finish my 45 minute trip home at a very unsafe speed on the highway as I had no way to have it towed home> I will now have to find a way to a dealer thats over an hour away just to get a quote on the repairs as they are the only affordable way to clear the codes after repairs are done

I reached out to dealer ship and manufacture of my unit, explain to them that my unit has a serious wobble and shuddering skip while making turns in curves. I feel like it about to throw from the unit when it does this. I was told it was a yaw sensors. They would then tell me my bike is fine but it an ongoing issue that they refuse to look into

When making left hand turns the rear brake and front right surges on its own making it hard to control the vehicle. BRP knows the issue and has a TSB on it but the fix is a bandaid. On 06/28, while operating my vehicle at around 20 miles an hour I received a "Brake Failure" warning (indicated by a message on the vehicle display) and my brakes began to fail to fully engage. I was able to stop the vehicle after pressing the brake multiple times. I shut down the vehicle and the brakes returned to normal operation, however after riding just a few miles the issue began again. The issue persists and the requirement to "pump the brake peddle to achieve a stop remain consistent. I have taken the vehicle to a shop to have the vehicle inspected and repaired. The vehicle has 10,800 miles on it and recently had the recommended 12k mile maintenance performed on it (May of 2022) by a certified technician, at a certified dealer (Ridenow Powersports in Goodyear Arizona). No issues were reported at the time during that inspection. The vehicle has not been used in a highly spirited way and the brakes applied in normal, dry, conditions. No constant brake compression while riding or any other abnormal operation conditions. I contacted Can Am and they provided no insight, suggestion or direction other that "see an authorized dealer".

My Ryker started giving me problems going into sharp curves to the left. I have taken it to the dealership back in November and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. The problem continues. The same curves I used to take at 55-60, now I can’t take over 40-45 without the front end feeling like it is going to slid me off the road! The bike I used to love riding and always wanted to take curvy roads with scares me now. It’s not safe! I am either going to take the curves at speed limit and chance getting slug off into a ditch or I am going to slow down 10-15 mph and have someone run into the back of me. I posted my problem on a Ryker Facebook page and had over 60 comments. I am by far not the only one with this same problem! If something doesn’t get done about it, someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed! Please make this a recall! We want to enjoy our bikes like we used to and feel safe doing it!
The contact owns a 2019 CAN-AM Ryker. The contact stated while driving 12 MPH and making a turn, the vehicle started jerking and began to lose motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated upon making half the turn and slightly depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact depressed the brake pedal and continued to drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the pitman arm was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred while driving and making a turn. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the traction control was malfunctioning and would engage while making turns. The dealer reported the failure to the manufacturer. The manufacturer informed the dealer that the vehicle was operating as intended and that there was no failure with the traction control system. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

I have been dealing with an issue since December 2021 where the wheels lock up on tight left turns which has been pretty dangerous. Trike gives off vss code c0063 and c006c. I have taken it to the dealer on 3 occasions each time being told it was fixed only to have to situation reoccur a few days later. I have been unable to ride the vehicle since December.

When going on left turns feel like it jerks or like the abs is kicking in and I'm not sliding. When this happens it pushes me to the outside of the curve. Has done it since day one of owning it. Bought brand new. Hundreds of people on social media are have the same problem and the refuse to fix it.

The right wheel and back tire wobbles uncontrollably when making left turns. It's very dangerous. My dealership doesn't know how to fix it.

Bearings in Pitmen Arm are failing. The Bearings are not pressed in and wear out quickly causing binding in the steering and triggering a VSS fault Code. Resulting in the vehicle going to Limp mode. I have seen many Can Am Rykers have this problem. Can Am refuses to Correct the problem. By the way my Ryker only has 1100 Miles on it and it's a 2019. Help before someone gets Killed.

The VSS Vehicle stability system on the right tire goes on at speeds of 30 MPH or more while making a sweeping left hand turn. Like on a canyon, highway or street. This causes the vehicle to apply brake pressure only to the the right tire and then pulls the vehicle further to the right side while makeing a left turn. This can cause you to drift uncontrollably into the right hand lane, or into a gaurd rail or into another moving vehicle. This has happened numerous times. This is also related the the back tire getting very wobbly at the same time and causes the Ryker to fishtail out of nowhere. I contacted BRP and they told.me they only had 10 or so complaints about this in their system and therefore no Recall. This seems impossible because as you will see from my photos there are many owners with documented proof and something that lots of Can-Am Ryker owners are complaining about. Sometimes the vehicle will shut down and go into limp mode while in motion because of it. There seems to be a TSB bulletin for a pitman arm fix out to the dealerships. However it's not a mandatory recall and if you are out of warranty (which is currently only 12 months) you are forced to pay for it yourself. The other fix is to reset the sensors, but from what I'm seeing it is only a temporary fix of maybe 4 days tops before the issue starts happening again. I'm worried for all Cn-Am Ryker owners, and wish BRP would issue a fix for this very dangerous issue.
