CERTAIN HONEYWELL FRAM RACING BRAND HP4 AND HP8 OIL FILTERS THAT WERE MANUFACTURED FROM MAY 25, 2006, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 14, 2007, AND SOLD FOR USE AS REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLES LIST ABOVE. THE AFFECTED FILTERS ARE MARKED WITH A DATE CODE A61451 THROUGH A72571 SEQUENTIALLY. THE DATE CODE AND PART NUMBER APPEAR ON THE FILTER HOUSING. FRAM RACING HP4 AND HP8 OIL FILTERS NOT BEARING A DATE CODE IN THIS RANGE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL. THE GASKET OF THE OIL FILTER BECOMES MORE PLIABLE UNDER HIGH TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURES.
Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED OIL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING NOVEMBER 2007. OWNERS CAN CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLL-FREE AT 1-800-890-2075.

TRIED TO TURN ON AIR-CONDITIONER AND HEATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DIAGNOSTIC CENTER AND AN ELECTRONIC COMPONENT AUTO CENTER. THEY BOTH HAD THE SAME CONCLUSION. THE CLIMATE CONTROL VALVE HAS FAILED. THE ACDELCO PART# 16082986 HAS A FAILURE. *JB
FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS, THE ENGINE HAS DIED WHEN THERE IS LESS THAN 5 GAL. OF GAS IN THE TANK AND I'M DRIVING DOWNHILL. THE CAR DIES AT THE BOTTOM. I SHIFT INTO PARK AND THE CAR STARTS RIGHT UP. I'VE ASK TWO DEALERSHIPS ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN AND DON'T WANT TO START REPLACING PARTS UNTIL THEY ARE SURE WHAT IS CAUSING IT. THE RESULT OF THIS IS THAT IT HASN'T BEEN FIXED AND I JUST GAVE UP. HAVE YOU HAD ANY REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING AND IF SO, WHAT IS THE SOLUTION.
