Full Narrative
On October 6, 2012, at 0915 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), a Cessna 172S, Turkish registration TC-CBI, operated by the Turkish Aeronautical Association, impacted mountainous terrain during an instructional flight, near Izmir, Turkey. The flight instructor was fatally injured and the student pilot was seriously injured.
The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Directorate of Civil Aviation, Republic of Turkey.
