On October 28, 2011 about 1544 hours UTC, a Boeing 777-200LR, registration number A7-BBD, operated by Qatar Airways, encountered inflight turbulence, during cruise flight near Nani, Kenya. A cabin crew member received serious injuries. The flight originated at Johannesburg, South Africa and the destination was Doha, Qatar.

An investigation has been instituted by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. As the State of manufacture, a US Accredited Represented has been appointed for the investigation. Inquires about the accident should be directed to the Qatar CAA.
