Full Narrative
On September 19, 2011, at 1620 UTC, an Airbus A320-233, N493TA, experienced smoke in the cockpit. The airplane landed uneventfully at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (SPZO), Peru, its original destination. None of the passengers or crewmembers were injured, and the airplane sustained no damage. The flight was registered to and operated by Trans American Airlines, S.A. The flight originated at Jorge Chávez International Airport (SPIM), Lima, Peru. The incident is being investigated by the government of Peru.
