Full Narrative

On October 15, 2010, at 2200 coordinated universal time (1400 local), a Beech A36, US registered N212DB, owned by Lyon Roger C Trustee and piloted by an instrument rated private pilot, was destroyed when it impacted terrain under unknown circumstances near Ensenada, Mexico. Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot and three passengers were fatally injured. The flight originated from Ensenada, Mexico, and was en route to San Quintin, Mexico.

According to several reports, the airplane impacted in mountainous terrain 18 nautical miles south of Ensenada. A post impact fire ensued.
