Full Narrative

On February 16, 2025, about 1445 mountain standard time, a Cessna T210R, N105DF, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Flagstaff, Arizona. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 repositioning flight.
The pilot reported that he met with the airplane owner and mechanic prior to the flight and went over the recent maintenance that was performed on the airplane, which included the installation of a new engine and propeller along with an annual inspection. The pilot departed Sun Valley Airport (A20), Bullhead City, Arizona, with an intended destination of Tulsa, Oklahoma. During cruise flight at an altitude of 11,500 ft mean sea level, near Flagstaff, Arizona, the oil pressure indication dropped while the other engine instrument indications remained in their normal range. The pilot diverted to Flagstaff Pulliam Airport (FLG), Flagstaff, Arizona, and shortly afterwards, the engine lost total power. The pilot initiated a forced landing to an open area of level snow covered terrain. During the landing, the airplane collided with a barbed wire fence which resulted in substantial damage to the left elevator and both horizontal stabilizers.
The airplane was recovered to a secure location for further examination.
