Full Narrative

On May 14, 2009, at 2045 universal coordinated time, a Piper Aztec a twin-engine airplane, Guatemalan registration, TG-ALD, was destroyed shortly after takeoff from the La Aurora International Airport, Guatemala City, Guatemala. The pilot and 5 passengers were fatally injured. An instrument flight plan was filed and the aircraft's intended destination was Belize.
