The pilot's improper approach, which resulted in a long landing, a runway overrun, and collision with a drainage culvert.

Full Narrative

The pilot reported that during landing, the airplane touched down about mid-field on the 1,900ft private dirt airstrip. The airplane overran the end of the runway and collided with a drainage culvert.

The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left wing.

After multiple attempts to reach the pilot by email and phone, the NTSB IIC did not receive an NTSB Form 6120.1 from the pilot.
