Probable Cause
The pilot’s inadvertent application of the brakes, which resulted in a nose-over.
Full Narrative
The pilot of the tailwheel-equipped airplane reported that, after landing, as he pressed the right rudder to turn off the runway, his foot slipped and he inadvertently applied the brake, and the airplane nosed over.
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the right wing lift strut, left wing, and empennage.
The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
