On August 12, 2018, about 1645 Coordinated Universal Time, a Cessna 172 airplane, C-FJCP, impacted terrain near Edson, Alberta, Canada, under unknown circumstances. The pilot sustained fatal injuries.The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) of Canada is investigating the accident. As the State of Manufacture of the airplane and engine, the NTSB has designated a U.S. accredited representative to assist the TSB in its investigation.
