The pilot’s improper landing flare, which resulted in a hard landing.
Full Narrative
The pilot reported that, during landing, the airplane landed hard and the propeller struck the runway.
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the engine mount.
The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
