Full Narrative
According to the pilot in the tailwheel-equipped bi-plane, he was performing touch-and-go takeoff and landings. During the landing roll, the airplane veered to the right and he aborted the landing. However, the airplane did not gain altitude, exited the right side of the runway, and collided with a drainage culvert. The airplane then rolled about 50ft into the field on the right side of the runway and stopped.
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the lower right wing spar.
The pilot reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
