On December 15, 2017, about 0930 Coordinated Universal time, a Textron/Beech Model 58 Baron twin engine airplane, SU-BLD, was substantially damaged when it impacted desert terrain about 18 kilometers north of Qaroun Lake, Egypt. The training pilot and the two trainees onboard received fatal injuries.
