On July 15, 2017, at 1616 coordinated universal time, a Cessna T210N, Mexican registration XB-LJK, collided with the terrain in Cerro Viejo, Mexico, following a loss of engine power. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was substantially damaged. The airplane was registered to and operated by a private individual. The flight originated from the Guadalajara International Airport (MMGL), Guadalajara, Mexico, with a destination of Playa de Oro International Airport (MMZO), Playa de Oro, Mexico.The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Mexican government.
