Full Narrative
On May 18, 2017, at 1840 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 182P, registered as PZ-VAC, experienced an uncontained engine failure, and sustained minor damage during a subsequent forced landing in Poespegroenoe, Suriname. The pilot and two passengers were not injured. The flight departed Kwamalasoemoetoe Airport (SMSM), Sipaliwini, Suriname, destined for Zorg en Hoop Airfield (SMZO), Paramaribo, Suriname.The investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Suriname Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
