Full Narrative

On May 4, 2017, about 1020 coordinated universal time, a Robinson R44 helicopter, Russian registration RA-04156, was substantially damaged when it impacted mountainous terrain during a fire monitoring mission after departing from Beloretsk, Bashkortostan, Russia. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured.This accident investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Interstate Aviation Committee of Russia.
