On January 20, 2017, about 2120 coordinated universal time, a Cessna 172S, Chilean registration CC-AGK, was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain near Araucania, Chile. The pilot and one passenger were fatally injured, while two other passengers were seriously injured. The local personal flight originated from Villarrica Airport (SCVI), Araucania, Chile, about 2104.This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the Government of Chile.
