On September 8, 2016, at 1920 coordinated universal time (UTC), a Robinson R66, Austrian registration OE-XHA, was destroyed when it impacted terrain under unknown circumstances near Carinthia, Austria. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The pilot was fatally injured and the passenger was seriously injured. The flight originated from Elberfelder Hutte, Austria, and was en route to Salzburg (LOWS), Austria.
