The Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes de Aviación – CIAA of Peru has notified the NTSB of an incident involving a Peruvian Airlines Boeing 737, which occurred on October 23, 2015. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CIAA investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane.
During the landing sequence, after about 8 seconds a vibration was felt and subsequent collapse of the airplanes right main landing gear occurred. It was also observed that the left main landing gear had a broken shimmy damper actuator and a torsion link fracture.
All investigative information will be released by the CIAA.
