Full Narrative
On July 22, 2015, at 1325 local time, a Bell 407, P2-HCB, registered to and operated by Hevilift, experienced a loss of engine power while maneuvering away from a drilling/exploration camp near Tifalmin Village, Papua New Guinea. The helicopter subsequently landed hard and was substantially damaged. The pilot, the sole occupant, received minor injuries. The flight was being operated under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Papua New Guinea.
