On July 25, 2015, at 1745 universal coordinated time (UTC), a Cox model Bede BD-5G amateur-built airplane, Irish registration EI-DNN, serial number HJC4523, was destroyed during a postimpact fire following a forced landing near Garranbane, Ireland. The pilot, the sole occupant, was fatally injured. The flight had departed Waterford Airport (EIWF) and was enroute to Shannon Airport (EINN).
