On October 12, 2014, about 0530 coordinated universal time, a US registered Cirrus SR-20 airplane, N176CD, experienced a total loss of engine power near Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. The pilot made a emergency landing, and received minor injuries.
