On October 5, 2012, an Easter Jet Boeing 737-700 powered by two CFM 56-7B20 turbofan engines experienced a No. 2 engine failure while climbing through 22,500 feet after takeoff from Gimpo International Airport, Seoul, South Korean. The flight crew shutdown the engine, performed an air turnback, and made an uneventful single engine landing.
