Full Narrative

On September 11, 2014, at 1230 coordinated universal time, an Agusta Westland AW139, SE-JRH, experienced a detachment of the slip ring assembly for anti-icing of the tail rotor, near Umea Airport (ESNU), Umea, Sweden. The helicopter landed at ESNU without further incident. The four crew members onboard the helicopters were uninjured. The helicopter sustained no damage. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the flight. The flight was originating from ESNU at the time of the incident.
