Full Narrative

On October 13, 2013, at an unknown time, a Robinson R44-II helicopter, 22L2, Russian registration UP-RB002, operated by a private individual impacted flat terrain near Beles, Kazakhastan, Russia. Night visual meteorological conditions prevailed, and flight plan information was unknown. The personal flight departed from Beles Landing Site, Beles, Kazakhastan, Russia. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured, and the airplane was destroyed due to impact forces.

According to Russian authorities, the helicopter departed before sunrise and impacted terrain approximately four minutes later. The cockpit, as well as the main and tail rotor blades was destroyed. The tailboom remained intact. Investigators stated the distribution of the wreckage was due to the helicopter striking the ground under power.
