On October 18, 2013 about 1500 local time, an Ayres S2R airplane, Australian registration VH-JAY, collided with terrain near Wave Rock, Australia. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as an agricultural flight under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Australia.
