The Civil Aviation Authority Safety Investigation Board of Pakistan (CAAP) has notified the NTSB of an incident involving a Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) Boeing 777-340ER, registration number AP-BHV, powered by General Electric CF90-115BL turbofan engines that experienced a No. 1 engine compressor stall during cruise. The airplane diverted to Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) where a safe landing was performed. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CAAP investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer of the airplane and engines.
