Full Narrative

The Civil Aviation Authority Safety Investigation Board of Pakistan (CAAP) has notified the NTSB of an incident involving a Pakistan International Airlines Corporation (PIAC) Airbus A-310-308, registration number AP-BEB, powered by General Electric CF6-80C2A8 turbofan engines aircraft that experienced a No.1 engine compressor stall while taking from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi Pakistan. The airplane was returned to JIAP where a safe landing was performed. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the CAAP investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer of the engines.
